NW Sport Taekwondo classes focuses on providing you and your family with superior, quality instruction and personalized attention. All classes are under constant supervision by a core group of internationally certified black belts with demonstrable experience in multiple aspects of the martial arts. Our class sizes are limited to maintain quality martial arts instruction. You set your own pace and begin with others at your level. Class by class, you’ll gain self-defense moves while increasing your strength, coordination, flexibility and speed. Our program has been developed by qualified master instructors and educators. This will make it possible to gradually improve your abilities. We make learning safe, fun, and exciting.
We also have an extensive private instruction program to give you and your family that extra edge.
In our kids program they learn basic to advanced Tae Kwon Do techniques. Classes include a warmup, technique instruction and often exercise games. This is intergrated with inspiring martial arts-based fun, this focuses on the physical fitness of traditional Tae Kwon Do and a set of invaluable life skills we call the five tenets of Tae Kwon Do: courtesy, self-control, integrity, perseverance, and indomitable spirit.
Our competition team has two main focuses, one is Poomsae, or forms and the other is sparring. In our Poomsae competition class we focus on form, precision, area of focus that leads to medals in events. In our sparring class we focus on conditioning, strategies, and tactical skills needed to be champions in Olympic-style sparring. Our team has won many state championships and has create some amazing athletes. Our international certified coaches work with our athletes to make them some of the best in the state.
In our combined Adult & Teen Program students learn the fundamentals of traditional Tae Kwon Do from beginner to advanced levels. Workouts can include warmup, technique instruction and conditioning. Adults have the opportunity to advance to black belt and beyond, take leadership roles, train for competition, take supplemental classes and become instructors.
